The Woodforest Ruck is more than a walk. It is a living memorial — a community act of remembrance for the men and women who served, and support for those still carrying the weight of that service.
The DD-214 is the discharge form every servicemember receives when they leave active duty. It marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. #MissionDD214 exists to make sure no one walks that new path alone.
Although not required, participants carry weighted packs (“rucks”) to symbolize the burdens our servicemen and women have shouldered for our freedom. Together, we remember, reflect, and show gratitude — while raising real support for veterans in crisis.

Camp Hope is the PTSD Foundation of America's program in Houston, TX. It provides free interim housing, peer support from fellow combat veterans, and clinical mental-health care to combat veterans recovering from post-traumatic stress — at no cost to the veteran or their family.
Payments for registration, sponsorship, and donations deposit into the event's own account and are transferred to Camp Hope after the event's direct costs are covered. Learn more at ptsdusa.org/camp-hope.
